Catching up

Sorry I have not posted for a while. So much has happened and so many cute pictures have been taken. She has finished with the casts, six in all. Now she has a brace on her feet. It is not fun and she does not like it. She is getting used to it. Hopefully Mommy will get used to it too.

Last week we had a Stolpe Family reunion. She loved playing with her big cousin Hannah. It was nice for her to meet the rest of her family. Grandpa Norm was so glad to finally meet her. Uncle Erik seemed smitten with her and she liked playing with him. We spent all last week up at Pike Lake. She was ok with it. The bug really like her though. I think it is because she is so sweet! Sam loves it up there and I think she will too eventually. On Saturday we had her big party and dedication. It was so great to see everyone and for them to meet Elizabeth. We had family up from CHicago and mom's cousin came from MN!

Today I put pig tails in her hair for the first time! She was not too thrilled with it, but tolerated it. I have been waiting for so long for pig tails, so it was a big day for me. Sam liked them too.

We discovered she can use a straw. I gave her my strawberry milkshake and she loved it!

Friday Morning Snuggle

Today Jenna is here. Sam likes to have a morning snuggle with Elizabeth and today he got Jenna and Elizabeth. Ok, Jenna was not there for snuggling, she wanted a book read to her. Sam just loves both girls and takes such good care of them.
You can also see her striped cast.

Blue for week four

Week four of her casts was blue. Sam requested it. So she had Pink, Green, Purple (Grandpa's choice), blue (Sam's choice) and this week she has zebra stripes and the white glows in the dark. I'll try to get a picture of it.

There is a chance she may not need surgery. Her foot is doing really well. We will find out on Monday for sure. Please pray she does not need the surgery!

More Firsts for Elizabeth

This week Elizabeth had her first hair cut and she went to Pike Lake and we climbed to the top of the Tall Tall Tower.
On Sunday we went up to Pike Lake. Grandpa Kent is the camp host again this year and we plan to spend as much time up there as possible. Sam wanted to show Elizabeth the "Tall, Tall, Tower", so up we went. We took the dogs too and they loved running around in the field.

On Tuesday we took her to see Dawn who is the best hairdresser ever. She has been cutting my hair and Grammy's hair for about 10 years. I think if Dawn can't cut my hair, I will just grow it out again. Besides that we have known Dawn for so long and she has followed the whole journey to Elizabeth, she also has two sons adopted from Korea. She said if we trimmed the ends of E's hair it would thicken up and come in nicer. I trust what she says. E sat really well for it.
