Today is Saturday March 29 about 10:45 am. Our van comes at noon to take us to the airport for the plane to Nanjing.
Yesterday it was so cold and rainy, we still went out and did the Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven. Then we went to a market for dinner. It was really disappointing and we ended up at a Pizza Hut for pizza. This morning we toured the hutongs around here and had breakfast, saw a pottery museum and store. Now we are getting ready to leave.
We did get some good news though; the Pattersons (from Dallas) have offered to fly Grandma Candy up when we get home. We are so excited and so thankful for the Pattersons. They also made our trip possible with their frequent flyer miles. It will be so nice to have Grandma come up and help us recoup from the jet lag and so she can see her new baby granddaughter.
